Sunday 13th of April 2-4pm
Our second workshop is about composition, shot types and camera movements. Now that we’ve learnt how to use your camera in manual mode, let’s take the next step and think about how to compose your shots. Ever heard about the rule of thirds or wondered how to make your portraits or landscapes more appealing? This workshop is for you. Composition is a pillar of photography and video-making, and we’ll guide you through a few basics that allow you to experiment. For more advanced photographers we will explore how to break the rule of the thirds, frames within frames, composing with light etc.
If you’ve not attended our previous workshops, are still shooting in automatic mode and simply want to learn about framing you are also welcome! Our workshops are open to all-level photographers and videographers, whether complete beginners or more advanced. Bring your camera, and if you don’t have one, we have a few spares for you to practice on.
If there’s anything specific you’d like to learn, if you have a project, an idea, or a question, let us know! The venue is wheelchair accessible, but the bathrooms aren’t. If you have any access requirements please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
