Pride Month screening! Tuesday 13/06 at 8:30 pm @eshcoop
Followed by a discussion about the history of Pride with Sigrid and Bob from @lavender_menace_returns .
Celebrating the Stonewall riots is celebrating ALL who made it and changed the future of queer people. We’re screening three short films focused on two iconic figures of the time: Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson, co-founders of STAR : the Street Tranvestite Action Revolutionaries. Stonewall is too often represented as this white cis gay men revolutionary moment, and trans people are once again relegated to the background. Both Rivera and Johnson resisted attempts to silence them within the Gay Liberation Movements. Come watch these films with us to celebrate them and Pride before our fundraiser club night the day after ! And remember: LGB don’t exist without the T.
